Why did the balloon shrink at room temperature?

I attached a balloon to a flask with dry ice in it. Thus, the balloon became inflated with CO2. But after a day of being left in the room at room temperature, the balloon shrank. Because the gas was warmed, I umed that it would expand and make the balloon BIGGER, not SMALLER. why did this occur? I need a legit source too, if you can.
