Elton Brand to Spurs?

ok i know he's a unrestricted free agent this off season but i've been hearing that the spurs are gonna make a run at signing elton brand. tim duncan took less money so they can sign him, hopefully they get him and even more people will hate the spurs for having a great team. anyone heard something different?
