Is Jim Ross the only reason people have such a high opinion of Shelton Benjamin?

For the past 4-5 years during every Shelton Benjamin match JR has called he has rammed the same ideas down our throats that everyone now says every time Underrated wrestlers, who should be a world champion questions are asked. I'm starting to think everyone has heard JR say it so much they believe it's now fact, I'm not saying Benjamin is awful by any stretch but he isn't the gift to wrestling some people make him out to be. Without JR would anyone be talking about Shelton Benjamin to the extent they are today?
