My son was born with meconium aspiration.. Has anyone experienced this? If so please help!!!?

My son was born with meconium aspiration on Saturday. They said he could have swallowed it a few days before birth because his nails and the cord were stained greenish. They put him on ventilator because he was breathing but not like he should. They also said he developed pneumonia and had a small sliver of a hole in his lungs where oxygen was leaking out. He was not a premmie or over due. I was 38 weeks and he was 9lbs 3oz. They took him off the ventilator on Sunday and he was fine till last night. They called and said his oxygen saturation dropped to the 80's when a healthy childs is in the 90's to 100 so they put him on oxygen. He is eating great but gets cranky. They said his stomach often gets large because he is breathing so fast and heavy that its filling it up with air and when he cries he doesnt have enough oxygen reserve to breath properly. They didnt tell me if its severe meconium or what, just that he will be ok. Very vague. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this and if you could share any experiences or anything information wise possible because Im so scared that something serious will happen to him.
